Guides: Every year, Canby Grove
recruits part-time volunteer Discovery Guides and full time Summer
Staff Discovery Guides who serve as the backbone of the summer operation. Discovery Guides lead and assist
on single-day and multi-day outdoor adventures involving
whitewater rafting, mountain biking, rock climbing and hiking.
Certain qualifications apply and a formal application process
is involved.

Guide in Training (GIT): The GIT program
is a leadership and skills development program for teens
who are at least 16 years old and who would like to “learn
the ropes” of being a Discovery guide. The 1-week
program involves training in guiding skills, as well as
one-on-one discipleship with a Discovery staff member. Details here..
